The reproduction of the Holy Shroud was performed as a contribution to the study "The Shroud can be reproduced: that’s how", by Prof. Garlaschelli, University of Pavia, presented at the conference of CICAP, Saturday, October 10, 2009. The realization took into account all the technical characteristics of the original: yarn type and its coarseness, thread density, weave, absence of dyes and width of the finished fabric. This is an in-depth textile study, based on previous technical analyses carried out by scholars directly on the Shroud, which allowed the reproduction of the fabric, the starting point for subsequent studies by Prof. Garlaschelli. As anticipated by Laura Laurenzi in her article, daily newspaper La Repubblica, Monday, October 5, 2009, the scientist has put into practice, perfecting it, a method of image impression, using as support the fabric specially made, a faithful copy of the original.
